Short shots question

Quick question
I am about to fit short shots. I have the SE PRO TUNER fitted and high flow A/C but no tuning software yet.Will hopefully have the tuner software in few weeks. I am wondering if I could damage the engine without remapping until then.

There are many variables. The first being, how much riding you plan to do. If you put short shots on,,,you need tuning.

I rode with short shots a few weeks before I got my power commander with no ill effects. I had some decel pop but no matter what kind of tune you get...most people that run short shots will get some decel pop.

Do 50 miles and check your plugs. You have the download that does work a bit anyway right.

Will do zero harm. The engine management can cope with stage-1 hardware without getting leaner. Not ideal in the long run but these bikes are designed to run at stoic and will be fine.

I ran short shots with a high flow AC without a tune for a while. Had decel pop but I've yet to ride with anyone who didn't. I wouldn't stress it. Get it tunes when you get around to it.
