Took the FXDXT up to the mountains for an extended weekend and could not imagine having ridden anything lese. The handling and performance is superb. I switched with a buddy who has a softail and one who has an fxd for a little bit. Neither cut the cake like the FXDXT. A sissy bar with my travel bag was all i needed. Saddlebags are incoming. Not sure if they will work better than the last set, time will tell.
Heyyy the guys at Hog Pro have brains in their head!
btw, my monster busts the rear tire loose at 60mph and she is famous with the RK bros around here. I do have to admit though, those RK's with F.I. are so smooth on the Blue Ridge Parkway, seem like they're made for elevations.
Last year I was on a Road Glide with a 120R motor for a few days; included a ride thru the Dragon...I was very impressed by the stable handling and the 120R helped make up for the weight increase over my FXDXT. This summer we have a small crew going to Sturgis and we are deliberately trailering the first 750 miles as it is ALL freeway; our general road rules are NO freeways, NO chain hotels and NO chain restraunts... this has served us well in our travels for a few years now. The FLH's on the trip are all 2-up, the Dynas are solo machines.

We have some EFI bikes here (my other is one of them) and I will never willingly choose EFI again over a carb. I don;t mind an older bike with a carb as it is so much simpler to tune. We like to think we have brains in our head but that could be argued depending on who you talk to.
Regardless, since the FXDXT came along the other bikes are gathering dust. The FXDXT is the best handling and most comfortable Harley i avhe been on. It is light, flickable and fast. The stock suspension soaks up the bumps like no other Harley I avhe ever ridden regardless of changes to the suspension with air ride, aftermarket shocks, etc. OF course I am yet to try some Ohlins.
