Pardon the dumb questions, but I've got to ask.

On the Fat Bob the lean angles are 30/31, I assume the exhaust is why you can't go as far right?
I was surprised how easily this thing will lean over, I scraped a peg on my way to work the other morning. I guess I was having to much fun... or was it just the right amount? Anyway it didn't feel like it was close to loosing control or anything, in fact until the peg touched I didn't even think it was really down that far. So how close to the limit is it really, are there any other warning signs I should be away of? Obviously if you go past the edge of the tread on the tire you're asking for trouble but will it just quit on you with no warning your nearing the cliff? (Besides the pegs of course)

I just got a set of the mini footboards I'll be installing tomorrow, I think they're the same length so it won't lean any further if that is even a problem? But I really don't want to be dragging my shiny new boards anyway but now seeing how easy it is on this bike I want to make sure I'm prepared

When your down real low the most danger of wipeing out is from foreign matter on the road like rocks oil branches frogs toads lizards beer bottles bras macdonald food bags road kill tire debris and the like! you know. As far as the pegs you can lean right over and grind those puppies down in a matter of hours or even minutes as they will lift rather than dig in on ya so have fun out there but not too much, or too little! I'm not to worried about the pegs touching, and like I said I don't want to make a habit out of it anyway due to the other dangers involved... and scratching up my new boards

But just to be clear, if we were on a nice new clean race track and all other outside factors were "perfect" theoretically the bike can lean all the way to the edge of the tire right? But what would happen if you inadvertently went past that, it doesn't just suddenly quit on you does it?
and finally does anybody know how close you really are to the edge of the tire on a fat bob when the pegs touch?

Right but if you hit a bump or inadvertantly twist the throttle when hanging that low lookout.

You won't get too much warning once you reach the edge so always a little caution, get used to your bikes limits by testing and learning her capabilities. It's a process. there are alot of factors involved.

the third answer was already in my other post so to reiterate when the pegs start to scrape you can still lean with flying sparks and glory! Very cool at night!

I was joking of course, if I was looking to rip the skin off my shoulders on my morning commute I think I probably would have picked a different bike

 

Get you one of those 4x4 incline meters. Calibrate it right 29.5 and left 30.5. That way next time you get into one of those tight S curves at 55, you can keep an eye on that meter..do not take you eye off of it..keep those boards shinny on the bottom...people will not notice the bushes on top. I like your handle crash1369 unlucky but at least you land in the correct position...FOR LOVE........
