dyna lense back.
Hi guyz/galz,
I'm planning of trying to fit a dyna lense into my Honda monkey bike.
Want the diamond style light with h4 fitting and sidelight which HD can do for it
Question, before i commit to buying one, is what sort of cutting away can i get away with on the black rubber cap behind and are the inlets for cosmetic only?

I want to use one on my headlight shell.

Of course JohnC is right a seal will only keep out water and dust after all.....and your message is kind of vague. What exactly is a honda monkey bike? Like the band the monkees bike? lol
Stay? soz American lingo.
You mean how it's held into the rim?

Spring clips similar to these, the U shape pushes against the lense back and the tips you push into the headlight rim, which has has a spigot on them.
Honda monkey bike, aka Honda z50. In my case it's a '1972 z50a K3' , with newer frame and honda millenium edition tank, with telescoping forks.
The one I'm working on looks similar to this original, as mine has custom wheels/exhaust/swingarm. Headlight shell on mine is same colour but without the ignition behind speedo. As with the gold version in previous post.

Original Millennium Edition

Mine in it's current state, with Chinese tank on for fitting, but also the rear wheel also same on front now
Honda Candy red frame.
Engine / tank Chinese for mock up. Have a Honda c50 bored to take a 52.4mm piston taking it to 107cc, with a atc70 4 speed gearbox.
G-Craft +4 cm alu swing arm
G-Craft Billet alu spoke/space
G-Craft 3.5" / 4.0" alu rims.
Heidenau Tyres
Headlight shell from a German Honda z50 Gorilla
atc70 Risers, polished alloy.
Brembo 2pot calliper.

This Honda tank goes on after I finish.
I got the bike off a friend, and it was a mash of bits but original 1972 frame which I've put into storage, they have a different mount for a older peanut tank. But also it's the 1st of the full suspension models, and road TAX except in this county.
Chinese copies were never about in 1972
The lense glass and outta rim is same size as on my z50. It's the clearance on the rear that is what brought about my original question, on fitting.
