Default Just bought a FXDWG.
Hi everyone. I just got rid of the '93 XLH1200 and bought a '99 Wide Glide. I'm glad this forum is here for my questions!

Sweet. My favorite H-D after owning, riding, renting many. Many grins up ahead for you. Mine was frozen onto my face after this ride at 10,000ft.

The relationship with speed increase is that if you double the speed, the drag (or resistance) increases by a factor of four, and the power required to overcome the resistance increases by a factor of eight. Bottom line, miles per gallon drops dramatically with a speed increase.
