Here are mine from this past Friday when I did my service. Yours look similar I think. Mine have a slight tan color which is supposed to be ideal, or so I've read...

Yours have no white and look better than mine. If I saw what mine looked like on my snowmobile I'd be freaking out and wondered why it hadn't burned down by now. I'm not paying too much for the used XIED and if brings my temps down plus richens it slightly I will be very pleased.

I don't think you be disappointed. I have been riding in this Iowa heat and the bike is much cooler.

I was running lean so I bought a Power Commander and intake package from Fuel Moto just to richen things up a bit. It helped a lot and got rid of some pinging I had. There are plenty of better tuner options out there. The setup I have is pretty much your entry level setup. When I punch my motor out I'm going with some better equipment. But this worked for my budget and needs at the time, which was basically better engine health.

Well, I got the XIEDs installed yesterday and took the bike for a short ride and then a long ride tonight. My decel pop is nearly gone and it felt like it has a little more power. No pinging whatsoever at WOT now. I also put in fresh plugs yesterday and they still look white but might have a slight tannish color to them. I still think it's lean but better than it was. I guess a controller will only solve the problem completely but I'm happy for what I paid for the XIEDs.
