Just before getting home yesterday my 2010 streetbob dropped to one cylinder. Cough, cough, pop, pop, bang, bang.
I left it to cool and started it up again. Started great and reved ok but once it warmed again dropped front cylinder. Engine management light also on.
Transpires the ECM is f*****d.
Has anyone else experienced this with the 2010 model.
Garage said it was common on new Dynas.
Even worse news is bike nearly 3 so out of warranty.

Someone else just posted about a similar issue just the other day. It was the spark plug wires loose.
I was going to suggest the EITMS was kicking on and causing your rear cylinder to shut down, at idle. However, I see you said the front is the issue so, check your spark plug wire on the front.
That stinks. If the garage is correct and it is a common problem, it should be rectified by the MoCo.
That module should last longer than just a few years! I'd be gettin' in the ear of someone about this faulty control unit.

Hello
Yes I looked at plugs and connections before resorting to garage. I have xied lead on so even removed them but same result.
A buddy's Rocker C did that a couple of weeks ago. Front cylinder shut down. Moco tried the grenade, injector, plug, plug wires. The codes did not point towards anything specific. Out come was ECM packed it in, it was just over $500 but it was covered under warranty.

Same with mine. Codes not specific, something about injector power. Mechanic put on an after marker ecm and bingo all all back to normal.
Same price quoted but then needs fitted and recoded by dealer.
Ouch!
