FXDP fairing mounting question
http://motorcycles.smartcarguide.com/listing/17240850/
I just followed Lefty's link and copied the photos into my post above ... it is the '01 FXDXT with FXRP fairing ...
That's a pretty slick '06-later Street Bob sporting a FXRP fairing pictured in your post ... (although I'll admit I am not that fond of the saddlebags ... nothing against bags in general ... just those particular ones ...)
If you could find a FXRP fairing, I'm pretty sure you could make it work ...

And on the bags, oh yea not those bags or any leather for that matter, I'd probably go with some hard bags or similiar.
Just a project Im thinking about... Hoppes is making a road glide fairing for dynas too.

sorry for the hijack..
After... 06 fxdsc midglide i put it on and painted it in my garage. No i know its not a great paint job but ive never used a paint gun just flat colors out of a can. Anyhow. I won mine for 800 bucks plus 49 shipping n all i had to do was add the radio n the headlight itself. Low profile 7 inch. 89$ light. I work 75hrs a week so it took me 5 months. But you dont have to pay those ridiculous prices nor put a kz fairing on your buddies dyna. Tcmt has narrow mid and wide glide

[QUOTE=Hogpro;10123836]Does anyone think that a fairing off a KZ1000 (sacrilege) will be able to mount up to and fxdp? A buddy of mine wants the full fairing but does not want to spend the money for the true FXDP fairing. I know anything can be done with the right tools, engineer, and amount of money and time but this friend of mine is looking for the least expensive route. Personally I think that the FXDP fairing would end up being less expensive and work a lot better.
Thanks.[/QUOT
