I spent some time reading through the "Ulitmate Muffle Mod" thread and was wondering.
Has anyone just pulled the stock baffles from the Street Bob mufflers and either thinned up the baffling packing or maybe inlarged the holes on the baffles or a combo of both?
I am wondering if this is done, how it will effect the sound and or performance.
Any thoughts or experience on this will be helpful.
I did the stock baffle mod aka bafflectomy on my Triumph Scrambler 900 and on my current Fat Bob. Its more for sound then performance cause the stock baffle is designed more for emissions than for performance so cutting holes in it, enlarging the opening, or changing the insides really just makes it louder. Its the poor mans way to make your bike sound less like a sewing machine and more like a real bike until you can afford quality exhaust.
