I've had a ultra classic, a sportster and now the switchback. The switchback is hard to beat did a 1700 mile round trip the first week I owned it first long trip I've taken in quite a few years. Planning a ride to Santa Fe, NM in October can't wait no freeways just state highways all the way from NW Arkansas about 1500 mile round trip plus going out around Santa Fe exploring. I have added a mustang vintage wide saddle with drivers backrest and a low sissy bar with wide pad and 5 bar luggage rack my xm,speakers and highway bars. Great little ride I ride it everyday to work and after and weekend explorations. I am blessed to live in such a beautiful place to ride.

True!

Switchback - light, nimble, fun to ride around town and cross country solo. A passenger on a Dyna is a handicap

Street Glide - a strong heavier bike. Bulkier around town but surprising stable at slow speeds. You won't even notice a passenger on the back. More cramped riding position for the driver and more room for the passenger.

I own both a solo Dyna that I have ridden cross-country and an Ultra Classic. I only take the Ultra on trips if the wife is going also. I like the Dyna better though I have to admit, I made it to fit me (6'3")
I have found now that I have a longer commute I ride the Street Glide to work more than I do the Dyna. It's nice to have the bags, fairing and smoother ride (think the Dyna needs a set of mounts). I have no issues with the big bike around town and being the average sized person it will fit me just fine with a set of floor board extenders.

The way they ride/handle and the buffeting are completely different with the touring bikes, thus why I'm now buying a touring bike for long rides with the woman.

Two different bikes, so different you can not compare them side bt side.
You may need to figure out your real wants, needs and what is guiding your selection.Nothing worst than buying one because it was s few buck cheaper then finding out you wanted the other one. Both are great rides

If you don't do a lot of Touring the Switchback is a better choice.

I've put 30K on my Street Glide and Love it. 103 /255 cams . doesn't even flich when I have my lady on the back, WAY comfy and the Tunes are great .

I've had 2 dyna's and for day trips, especially 1 up I find them more entertaining.

The best way as others have said is go ride them , ideally rent one for a day to get a really good idea which you like better
