i was wondering if anyone could help me i ride a new dwg and it almost feels like the front factory shocks re really soft i attached a picture to show you about where my travel is i was wondering if i have too much and it is soft or am i just crazy i appreicate any help thanks
Yep. It's confirmed. You're crazy!!!
But seriously, I think what you have is about normal (from my personal experience). Give it a little more time and see if your brain will re-program (re-map) itself. Are you having any control issues ?
not really i just feels as if it rebounds when coming to a complete stop and again i might be nuts but i dont remember it doing that before maybe the springs are finally broken in
yup its normal...harley suspension really sucks. most people upgrade to some better drop in springs and heavy for oil. i havnt done it yet my self but i know alot of guys that have and its the way to go.
The springs do break in, but get some Ricor Intiminators (price is way down from the original price) and use the recommended Amsoil 10wt synthetic - the bike won't dive any more and will ride better to boot without the harshness of heavy oil.
Heavier oil won't fix weak springs. Just slows down suspension reaction. I have the intiminators in a not Harley bike and I like them. If you go that route try them with stock springs first. Intiminators may firm your ride enough and will help with the brake dive.
If you just go with heavier springs go with the recommended fork oil weight.
