Default New 2007 Super Glide

Wife just bought a new 07 Super Glide in December and she has had time to ride a couple of 100 miles due to the Iowa weather. I just finished reading all of the posts in the transmissions portion of this HD forum and was not happy what I read about the 07 transmissions. It appears that Harley Davidson has got some real problems and now my wife has bought into the problem. It is my understanding that all of the 96 motors and transmissions are the same. Has any other members of this forum experienced the marble noise and the noise in 5th gear in their 07 Dyna?

I also purchased a Super Guide (FXDC) in December. The bike is flawless, no gear noise, no surging, no over heating, although it is winter here. I was somewhat concerned also after reading some of the posts, but I have not experience any problems. Perhaps some of the earlier production runs had problems, but mine's great. Even with a SEII slip it still runs fine. Over the winterI plan to do stage 1 upgrades, just to get that 10 hp and 10 ftlb of torque that easy to get to.
If you've put even a 100 miles on the bike you should be able to tell if yours has any of the problems that some others have had.

I think youll find the noise is on the touring models NOT on Dynas. Pretty sure it was the same trans that was on the 06 models and they are ok. Do a search onit the Touring Forum. I agree w/ Mud ... there wasnt a problem till she read about it? Mine is flawless , Im sure yours will be also. Relax ,Ride, Enjoy!

Have an 06 Superglide with the 6 speed, but the 88cu. No problems at all. Put TFI and high flow air intake on her, punched out the stock pipes until I find the ones that I want. Runs like a ho outta church!

2000 miles on a '07 Street Bob and the only problem is the North Texas weather.
