Garage door opener technique?

Garage door opener technique?
My summer mesh jacket doesn't have a chest pocket that works for a garage door remote so I find myself fumbling around in my side pocket with gloves on as I'm riding down my steep driveway (not good). Short of taping it to the bars, what are folks doing here? Also, I'm not too keen on wiring or spending a bunch on this. Thanks.

I carry mine in my watch pocket (sidebar: wonder why jeans still have watch pockets?) and push the button without taking it out of the pocket. Mine is a small Genie pocket remote.

belt clip but I really like EP50's idea, although it would be better if you could keep it in the garage.
