In one word - sux...if you're looking for wind/bug protection (had one on 05 Sporty). Pretty much "eye-candy" for your bike & just deflects bugs off your chest. If that's all you want (looks) then go for it...if you want wind/bug protection - go with something bigger...JMO.
being very dissatisfied with my Touring QD windshield, as it protects perfectly from wind but creates a ridiculous amount of buffeting+noise and not having the ***** to risk cutting it down as many suggested risking to obtain no results other than a unresellable item, I was looking at the flyscreen too.
I want to have something that removes part of the pressure from my torso at highway speeds while receiving the full blast of wind on my helmet .
The options would be the flyscreen or..... a roll bag.
I mocked up a cylinder and attached it to my handlebars, the same size roughly of the kury roll bag to test the wind deflection effect before forking out the money for it.
Well it works and wind noise is minimum. Of course it depends on your bar/heights/helmet type.
Therefore I'm considering the kury bag as a ...... windshield alternative, especially as I'd use it only on long journeys. They are priced roughly similar. Even if I'd buy them both it would be HALF the cost of my Touring QD shield....
just food for thoughts...
Just got my screen delivered yesturday and of course the wrong size clamps were sent (way too big for my forks) so i used two HD quick release clamps off my HD windshield. Looks good will see how effective it is later when the rain stops
Put 200 miles on the bike today mixed highway and secondary roads. The wind screen works great, much better than I expected. Wind totally off my chest and cut down significantly on my face. No bugs at all. Of course no comparison to a full windscreen although for asthetics it cant be beat. I highly recommend national cycle screen
