I've been thinking of getting one as well, saw one one parked at the shop, guy said it just took the wind off your chest and left everything else as it - keep in mind everyone will be different depending on seat, bars, height, helmet, etc. Only one way to find out.
Haven't used the Fly Screen, but I can vouch for the quality of National Cycle products. I had my Deflector Screen for 14 years taking it from my Sporty to my FXDC. I never had a problem with buffeting, even though it's a bigger screen. Good luck!
I had one on my Sporty and it suited me just fine. It took the wind and flies off my face. This reduced the force on my head and made for a more comfortable ride. There is none of nasty buffeting effect you get with the big screens.

I made a similar screen for my Fat Bob...
What is that and how is it mounted? How about some more photos?
I put a National Cycle Flyscreen on my FXDXi a few months ago. No buffeting whatsoever for me. It takes the wind off of my chest at highway speeds to reduce fatigue on long rides, which was exactly what I was looking for.
The included brackets are super adjustable, allowing movement up/down, forward/rearward, and at any angle.
I also have a larger Harley fairing, but only use it the few times I ride in really cold weather.
What does it feel like when you are riding with a lid on? Do you get any lift (I wear a 1/2 helmet)? I've got a HD quick release windshield and cut the shield down a few inches to try and help with the buffeting but no luck. When I hit 70mph my head is shaking all over the place but there is no push on my chest.
