Did you use back the same sizes for your new rims?

No went over it a number of times and also had the guys agree to double check it when packing it up as I didnt want to have to ship it all the way back to the US from austrialia, not sure what the issue is he said they have sold lots of them without issue maybe no one else has noticed that their wheel was offset? I know one thing mine is dead center between my forks now,

I'm by no means an expert on wheels and hubs, but couldn't you have had the spokes adjusted to pull the rim to one side or the other and still have a "true" wheel?

yes for sure you could have gone down this route, but I dont have the smarts for that and no one I know locally does, milling the brake housing was pretty easy, just used a drill press and a 13mm mill drill bit and moved it around after each cut, took maybe 30ms with a couple of checks and refits etc,

That's the great part about doing your own work. You can improvise and make things work your way. Good thinking on your part.

Yes I have to say I spent some money on tools (wife was not happy) and i ended up cutting my index finger to the bone when a torq whench head snapped off while removing my rear brake disc (braking the loctite)), but all in all I am happy I know my ride better now and have learnt more from the manual, and I now know how things go together. I am satisfied with the job and glad I did it all (plus I still have all my new tools in the shed to use again)

Good stuff you got it sorted...I did the same deal with them; I asked for double checks for the same reason, over in Perth and the shipping would be a rite ol' POA
