here's a shot with the painted heat shields and installed. I will post another update after I re-upload the map and run auto tune.

I did what was suggested to check for an intake leak and I don't think i have one as the idol did not change at all . This sucks...

If it is a freshly downloade map, then auto-tune wont do anything. Auto tune is for after you have ridden it a couple hundred miles. You might run the IAC utility. Not sure what else I can tell you other than to check the box that says youre getting pops on decel.

Run IAC
Check the "pops frequently" box
Re-initialize (to be sure)
Ride two tankfuls
Run auto tune
Call Zippers if still having trouble

Sounds like mcnab gave you some good gouge ... hope that helps get it sorted out ...

I almost never have pop on decel ... I would say never, but ... every once in a 'blue moon' ....

you know after I downloaded the fresh map I did run IAC auto. sorry for the confusion I always think thats auto tune for some reason . New to the software. I actually don't know how to run auto tune now that I think about it. Any how I contacted Zippers via e-mail and stated my concerns. So I'm sure they will call some time Mon. or Tues. So for now I will check that box reinitialize and run two tanks. Being that I already ran IAC auto. I will update tomorrow morning. Thanks again guys.

If the TMCC does not ask to run the Auto IAC do not do it, especially if your idle is fine. As for Auto Tune, when you open the TMCC it will indicate whether you should do it or not. Before it starts you have 2 choices- little or no decel pop or frequent decel pop. As said above, do not run Auto Tune for at least 2-300 miles even if it tells you to do so, since it might say that after only a few miles.
Zippers will most likely tell you to either try a new map or run a monitor logging session. So why don't you do a data collection and send it to them. At least they will have something to work on for you.
When you do load a new map, make sure to follow the instructions to the letter. This is how it reads:
• Go to EFI Maps > EFI Map Listings and Definitions.
• Select the desired map by double clicking anywhere on the definition.
• Select “Load Base Map” from the Base Map Name Encoding window.
• Go to File > Write Module Maps and Settings.
• Go to Map Editing > Clear Learned Fuel Adjustments.
• Go to Map Editing > Clear Learned Idle Control Adjustments (this step does not apply to Throttle By Wire systems).
• In the Tuning Maps tree, go to Module Configuration > Basic Settings to confirm the correct Speedo-Cal value for your year and model.

Initializing the Module

A. For ThunderMax systems on bikes with cable throttle control

• With kill switch in run position, cycle the ignition switch 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, 3 times.
• Start engine and let warm up to operating temp without touching throttle.

B. For ThunderMax systems on bikes with Throttle By Wire control

• Turn the main power and rocker switch ON for 20 seconds uninterrupted.
• Cycle the main switch OFF and ON, and then start the engine.
• Let the motorcycle idle on its own for 15 seconds and shut off.

Remain linked to the module to monitor the engine temp during warm up. At 275°, unlink the software, turn the bike off and disconnect the cable. The bike is now ready for a test ride.

It may have been said before but maybe you should look at a TTS system, I just dump a old map in mine with different baffles and increased the rear tire size when I did it (new rims this week) and it took me like 5 minutes tops, tune up a couple of maps and keep them on the hard drive your good to go at any time, just my 2cnets,
