Simple equation...speed + police/radar * male = ticket OR speed + police/radar * female = warning.

Moral = next time "don't speed" OR "dress like a chick while you ride"...

If you went the other route you were considering, you could have been in a fatal crash with another vehicle.

Look at the bright side. You got off easy. Things sometimes happen for a reason. Pay the fine and move on.

If you don't get a speeding ticket once in a while you're driving too slow.

The law is the law. You break it, you pay for it. It is a calculated risk I take all the time.

My 1st speeding ticket was on a motorcycle. I was 16 (1970) and had just worked my first week at a new summer job. The plant shut down for a week to do maintenance, so I was off for a week and had some bucks in my pocket. For some dumbass reason, I let a little throttle loose (Honda CB175) and got nailed for 75 in a 35. Four points and $50. Oh well, pay the man.

Everyone that said dont admit to anything hit the nail on the head. I dont talk at all & do my best to only answer yes or no questions.

you all need to understand

this is not a cop bashing site

one more bad word and I will go ahead and send this to - the great big nowhere.

period.

There will be no COP/LEO Bashing or Motorcycle Club, AKA 1%er bashing allowed on HDF.
We have many Law Enforcement Officers and Club Members here
and we will not allow them to be subject to that kind of treatment

nothing new getting hassled on the sickle.

been like that for 50 years I know of.
likely much longer than that.

lawman is always right - on the side of the road.
fighting is done in court.

if you're clearly in the right, judge might cut you loose.

if you are even slightly on the wrong side of the law
the judge will surely whack that gavel down
and say
*I don't want to see you ugly *** again*

about five years ago I'm on the interstate.

stealth cop stealthed up behind me.

First question - does that thing have a speedometer on it??

Yessir.

does it work??

Yessir.

You were hitting 95.

Yessir, sorry about that.

License and insurance card please.

Says 2006 SuperGlide here.

Yessir, double aught six.

WHAT HAPPENED to it??

I like to build ****, sir.

So, he proceeds to circle my machine.

The VIN gonna match these papers??

Yessir, the numbers are on this side.

What kinda exhaust is that??

Vance and Hines, sir.

How loud is it??

I don't know, want me to start it up??

Yeah.
then after about a second and a half -
Shut it off.
Yeah,
it's loud.
Where's the mufflers??

The baffles are inside, sir.

Law says mufflers, not baffles.

I can't see your license plate sticker.
What's it say??

November, sir.

Well, I can't see it from here.

As another five minutes of lecture proceeds, I am tabulating the damage.
Tickets in Tejas ain't cheap.
150-200 for each infraction.
I figure I'm at about 7-800 already.
The stealth cops here pride themselves on multiple infraction incidents.

So, then he hands my paperwork back to me,
and says -
"you need to slow it down a bit".

Yessir. have a nice day.

I appreciate all the replies.
When I started the thread I was already "moving on".
Like I said, I was more upset about not 'trusting my gut'.

Sheeeet, every day I'm riding I deserve a ticket and never get one (Knock on wood).

I figure if/when I do get my next one, even if I'm not guilty of that actual offense, I deserve one and won't bitch about it.
