Son, you need an attitude adjustment.
Sorry you had a hard time reading the thread:
HE said I was doing 61, I am just gonna pay the ticket.
Not my first citation (since 1973), but my first one on a bike.
After dark, if I'm pulled over, and the cop asks me if I know how fast I was going, my response is always "no, I was watching the road for critters not staring down at my speedometer". Or a simple No will do.
Or they ask "do you know why I pulled you over? My response is "No". It's not my job to give myself a ticket that will stick. Ever wonder what they are doing when they are sitting there so long after a driver pulls away? They are writing down every stinking word of your conversation, in their favor, same as I would do if I write up or fire an employee, that which is wrote down will stick in court.
100% agree and I also add in an apology AFTER they tell me what I did wrong, "I always say oh wow I'm sorry I had no idea I was going that fast". I smile and act freindly. Since doing this I have yet to receive any tickets, whether in a cage or on my bike. Yes it does suck to kiss some cops azz but in the long run it saves you money so who cares at the end of the day.
ive gotten out of more tickets by saying, "i have no idea sir, but im sure i messed up. where do i sign." 90% of the time, it takes by suprise and they tell me to just slow down.... or they write the dame ticket.... and point to the bottom of the ticket and answer, "right here..."
Think about this. How many times have you done something traffic related wrong and gotten away with it. Running a light, speeding, not coming to a complete stop. Well this time you got caught.
