Has anyone put floor boards on your dyna? From what I can tell, you need an adaptor for the floor boards, but not sure if someone sells them or if its something I'd have to put together. Just wondering what others did.
I used a kit from Drag Specialties. It came with all the parts needed and bolted right up. I am also hearing of people using boards from the Dayna Switchback.
there was very recently a thread on this very subject. If you use the search function you'll find it. A kit just came out from HD to mount footboards to a dyna.
They are parts from the '12 Dyna Switchback (FLD). I did this mod as soon as the '12 Dyna parts manual was available at my dealer, and ordered the parts sepeartly some time ago. As others have stated above; There is a kit offered from the MoCo now http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US. It's listed in the '13 custom parts however , for now, they don't list a price, or part No. for it.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes....Tim(HT)

Reason: Because I can
Only reason you would need an adapter is if you use Soaftail boards. That's what I did but when I did mine there were none available unless you got lucky and found a set of the old police boards and those had to be modded to fit.
I sold the Wyatt kit that my dad was going to use and just ordered the floorboard brackets that go on the Switchback and a Swickback brake rod. The remaining parts I used from the forward controls he had on his bike. Althought his brake rod was too long therefore we had to get the Switchback brake rod. He also wanted the heal toe shifter but this wouldnt clear on a dyna so I ordered the Softail shifter because it has a longer bolt allowing a heal toe shifter to be mounted. We will see how everything looks once those parts arrive.
I am wondering where they are going to place my feet on a '12 SB.
The mid pegs are ok for awhile, then I stretch out to the highway pegs, they are almost too far (I am short) but ok till I am going 65-70, then it is tiring to keep my feet up there.
Having never ridden foot boards, I don't know what to expect.
The Softail Slim has them, will they be in the same place on a Dyna?
