Help with Dyna issue?
Hello all, My name is Bobby and I'm a first time poster
I recently bought my first Harley, 2000 Dyna Glide Lowrider. I love it. Im a taller guy and recently bought forward controls to put on the bike. I installed them myself and the installation went very well. My problem:
After I was done, I lost my rear running lights. The rear turn signals still work, but they don't illuminate as running lights, only when activated. My brake light will not illuminate at all, not when using either the front or rear brake. During installation of my forward controls I used only an "extension kit" , I never touched anything electrical. I checked bulbs and fuses and everything is in order, does anybody have any ideas? thank you all for your time and response,

Unless the previous owner installed the "Run/Turn/Brake Signal Module", the rear blinkers do not illuminate during normal operation or during braking. They are just blinkers, so you may not have a problem after all.
Now they brake light not lighting up is a major safety issue. If the fuses and bulbs are good, the previously mentioned "Run/Turn/Brake Signal Module" may have been installed and is now bad. If the module doesn't exist, then you may have to get a meter and test for voltage at the bulb. Also make sure all the cables plugged into the tail light assembly are secure and clean.
