Intermittent issue; riding, or after starting, the motor goes into a mode, where it seems it is running on (1) cylinder, puff, puff, puff/ROUGH idling...will last from 30 seconds to several minutes....I can rev it for whatever, it does it until...seconds/minutes...then the mode changes( can hear the motor change tones) and it goes into a normal idle...

Thought it was bad gas, water/condensation, yet, I believe it may have to do with an ignition/points issue?

I need some expert assistance, as shops guess, as does everyone else....

Problem started several months ago, and acts up....every few times out riding, yesterday it started on the freeway and lasted for 5 miles

Single fire or duel fire? Could be coil or ignition going...
