So i picked up this 2001 FXDX a couple months ago. The previous owner hadn't cleaned the bike in a good long while. So, I finally got around to cleaning the paint and giving it a good polish and wax with my DA buffer. The paint really came back to life!
When I bought the bike, I wasn't too crazy about the purple, but I have to say its been growing on me. I'd hate to repaint it when the factory paint is so nice!!
next up - use a good soapy wash on the engine with the HD detail brush kit (and spoke brush) followed by the S100 engine brightener - always makes mine look new again.
yeah I also picked up some of the s100 stuff that makes the black engine look black again...worked well on the pulley and other wrinkle black parts so far.
