New 'rider' needs 70's Super Glide identification help.

Guess it's all in who does the work then , got a bit over 500,000 on mine in 30 plus years and yes that's several majors and a couple uppers between them , I did anything but baby it you should my trail of tears box with all busted up tranny parts , primaries , trashed clutch's , bent axles and other assorted goodies I roached being a wildman . Last rendition was 88" with the stock cases and the only reason I changed is metal fatigue and my heavy *** throttle hand got to the cases finally , the cast in boss for the timken bearing started working loose . Hell I spun the output shaft in the flywheels doing a power launch and it still got 200 miles to home .
Even when she was a 74" no 883 had a snowballs chance in hell , that's the rider more than the bike bud , ride it like a ***** a Vespa can take it .
My 93" puts out 3 HP less than the 103" today and I still kick start it .
I can't afford to stay broke down and can not wrench myself at all anymore. I get my shovel back in a few months and at least it is with a great wrench this time. It is an 80". The last top end on her, the guy had his kid do it and the boy put it back together AFTER tearing up the washer corks on the pushrods. I get down the MTs. from work, pick up the bike, see CORK floating my my oil tank while breaking the new heads in. I ask what the hell is going on and the kid says, "oh yeah, I did see cork when I put the Cam back together". I flush out as much as possible but it stopped the check valve in the oil pump, trashed the flywheel and burned up the lower case. The two guys I trust, One in Co, one in Pa. with more then 40 years between them say it is the worst they have ever seen. Still think it was too tight also... I have over 300,000 on the shovel, all stock except the carb and oil cooler.
As far as riding like a *****, well I reckon you are "da man". I have about 30% usage of my right side of my body from accidents with pins/screws/rods and plates keeping it attached and NONE of it is from my bikes so I reckon I will stay pussified with the wind in my face, cold beer in my hand and surviving.
P.S. The guy responsible for my last top end got killed at 52 after riding since 12 and I don't talk ill of the dead so please don't reply about payback. It is what it is.

Age sucks brother , got some myself and yah I've slowed way down too . Why I became a wrench if I wanted to ride I had to pay my own freight for my fun time and after getting royally screwed by a couple " experts " . Having 2 sleds most times was big plus too . Shovels got a bad rap they really don't deserve honestly , ridden mine to hell and back a few times over and she's been good to me as long I took care of her . If it broke I usually had something to do with it . They had bugs just like the new ones , but there's at least a half dozen solid proven fixes for every one of them trick was finding the right one for your bike .
I don't play the payback game , that's for the new breed and the weekend SOA players .
