I received this bike from the family of a dear friend that recently passed.
I have no idea what it is exactly. What I do know is long ago this gentleman dabbled in racing bikes. I also know for at least 4-5 yrs this bike has been sitting out in the weather. I have located some numbers though Im not sure they are the correct vin #'s. I have attached a few photos, any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm really looking to get rid of it not sure if its worth anything, and I'm not sure where to start.
She is looking pretty rough..You would really need to get deep in to your wallet, and have an unlimited amount of time on your hands..It is a shame to see this bike in this shape..
There is A LOT of work there, but it can be done. The best picture I see is the heads, '75 and earlier, I think. Twisted biker will probably chime in and tell you. The carb is a old Super B, commonly known as a wall hanger, but S&S will rebuild it for you for a nominal fee. A picture of the vin number on the motor will help a lot, along with a pic of the oil pump and the top of the tranny. The frame is not important, due to the fact that it is aftermarket. The rear wheel looks as if it is off a fatboy or disc glide. I can't tell if the frontend is factory or aftermarket.
If you use the frame, blast it and check all of the welds, then repaint or powdercoat.
You are looking at 5-6K to get her back to cool, running condition.

Dang, I'm sick of these stories about people getting "left" free scooters. I'd have loved to have had that bike. I'm plotting a minimalist bobber, just frame, seat, gas and oil tank, two wheels and a monster motor. This would have been a great start at "free".
Reminds me of my first shovel... We picked two up in MEXICO Paucho & Chewy... I kept Chewy, rattle can white, yours look good compared to it. Only 8 Grand, a lot of blood, sweat & tears later ,On the road again... It can be done...that's what it's all about........

Well, I don't see it as free. Yes, the bike was given to him, but to get it down the road, there is going to be a lot of money, busted knuckles and a lot of trial end error.
Free?
looks close to a 1973 sittin on a wishbone frame (reproduction?)..if the frame is original wishbone harley, it is worth at least 3 grand..sit on it for 7 grand or toss it for a deal at 5 grand..just my 2 cents worth. but as i said...i'm old an full o crap..lol
