You could add a six speed trans and fatter front tire to yours. I love my Fatbob, but reading your assessment I'm not convinced you won't have buyers remorse...
Oh man, your T is pure dyna ****. I've even said I can't stand the color blue..but your bike..your bike I'd ride and learn to love blue but only on the bike. Hope mine sells before yours does..I may be calling you.
Put some Touring shocks on your Fat Bob:
It really improved my ride.
Quick disconnect bags, windshield, and rack/sissy bar turn it into a sportier version of the Switchback:
Fully adjustable cartridge forks and shocks on the FXDXT, compared to damper rod forks and rear boingers on the FXDF.. Changing to air shocks on the rear doesnt even get the FXDF in the same zip code as a stock FXDXT in the suspension dept....

No - it just gets you about as good as HD's Touring bikes.
Well; still have the "T" and may end up keeping it. Got a buyer in love but no cash; winter's coming and if I keep the "T" I won't be as tempted to dump a lot of $$$ into the 'Bob; fine ride that it is. I see a lot of obsolete parts on the "T" now, too...
As for the suspension on the "F"; rear shocks have about zero rebound dampening...would have to change that for sure and maybe something besides the 254E cams but still with stock everything else in the engine other than the tuner; thinking of, I think, HQ 575 cams. I see V&H has a set of duals for the Switchback; those might be nice along with some floorboards...lookin' for ideas...
I love the DX bikes a lot, but I don't think it would be hard to have a modern version with plentiful parts and upgrades with the Fatbob. Yes the T and DX bikes have cartridge forks. They aren't that good though. Any aftermarket performance rear shock and some work done to the stock front fork will have the Bob near it or even better. I don't think I will ever sell mine, but I don't have the money to buy and modify a Fatbob.
