Brake Master Cyl paint peeling ....
I used a "power bleeder" to insure that ALL DOT 4 was removed. Just watch what comes out of the bleeder nipple with a short lenth of clear tubing slipped on it, into a "catch can", You'll see a distinct difference in the color of the fluid. Pump the brake lever a few times during this process to insure that all the old fluid is flushed from the caliper as well. And then...Do it all over again just for good measure.
Note; If you're running a dual disc in the front, be sure the bike is in an up-rite posistion (Not on the jiffy stand).
Short of disassymbling the master cyclinder and caliper, that's it. This worked for me, and that's been some years ago.
Hope this helps,
Best wishes....Tim(HT)
