Default HD LED headlight

To those who have installed this Harley part...
Review the install and product itself. Was it worth the money?
I must say it looks pretty cool.

Do a search, you will find lots of threads w/reviews. That thing is damn expensive & see lots of people using Truck Lite as alternative.

I just finished installing one.Install is plug & play. Tight fit in shell. Yes it is a lot of $. The light output is bright (I haven't ridden yet). With a Dyna you don't have many options. I don't think a HID setup could be easily installed.

If you're going to stick with the 5-3/4" bucket the Harley LED is the best way to go. I tried using higher wattage bulbs and a 35w HID in the 5-3/4" bucket with poor results. Light goes every where but doesn't focus on the road in front of you where you need it. If you use one of the high output 55/60w bulbs carry a spare with you. They don't last very long.

I went with the HD for the headlight and Truck Lite (saved about $100) for the passing lights. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. I love mine!

Good point about aiming it properly since it's such a narrow focused beam. I had the silverstar ultras before the LED's and there's no comparison to the LED headlight.
