... but, have not worn with civilian attire since the days of DISCO ... LoL ... [visualize the mint green polyester leisure suit that goes with that] ...
Classic! Yeah, you gotta draw a line somewhere....
you are on the same fence i am! trying to figure out WTF to do about the black, one day i want to do mine in blue the other i do not... i am not sure if it will help but here is how i did my bag hinges when i made them
i got reg hinges from ace hardware and test fitted them, did have to bend them a bit to fit how i wanted
ran a small bead on the hindge to make them 1 (had to combine 2 to make the 1) i can get close up pics for you if needed
Nice Joe ... I'll post up some pics of my new system ... probably be another week or two ...
I am going to adapt the idea of the Police saddlebags ... put the hinge on the outside and the latches on the inside ...
I am going to be using the same hinges from the Police bags (also used on the Tour Paks) ... the contour of the bag lid is a little different, so I'll have to use a little filler and some spacers to get it right ...
Then, on the inner side, there is not a lot of clearance for the Tour Pak latches I got ... might have to put some felt pads or plasti-dip cushioning to protect the hardware ...
When I ordered the saddlebag lid gasket no one had it in stock ... on back order ... hopefully it comes in soon ...
Always liked your black cherry color match of bags to your tins ...
I say keep it black, both fairing and bags. Looks older that way. It goes with the black wheels very well. The one thing I would change on your bike; Powder coat your tank console gloss black.
