Detachable luggage rack.
Has anyone installed a quick detach luggage rack on a 07 Dyna? I just bought all of the required kits, I think, as I have not put it on yet. Had to buy the rack, the docking hardware and the turn signal relocation kit as there will not be any saddle bags. Is the installation straight forward? Are there any things that I need to be aware to do a successful install?

If youre putting side plates on then you will need a jack for sure... It's a pretty easy install just make sure you use locktite (red and blue) on your bolts and use the proper torque settings to tighten. It should tell you the specs on torques on the install sheet... good luck!!

looked at the same rack, was ready to get it when the new jp cycles catalog came out . Motherwell came out with a rack for 06 - 07 dynas that bolts on without relocating the tsignals so I went with it and I like it thanks

I have one on my '06 Bob - very easy to install the kit. I did have to 'modify' the bolts when I installed the 180 Sreamin Eagle rear meat. I used elevator bolts - flat disc w/ a bolt welded to it - so far, so good. Had the rack powder coated and it works great for keeping my throw-overs off the fender - too cold here to include a pic -
