While pulling out of this tight parking lot yesterday I accidentally missed the curb cut and drove right over a 6" curb... I know, talk about inattention all you want, **** happens, Got in a hurry, was close to an intersection... seen an opening in traffic and you know the rest... LOL
When I felt the bump I thought WTF? I looked back and couldn't believe I drove off the curb... No bottoming out, no jarring, I couldn't believe how smooth it was. I was still smiling when I got home.
Ive been running them for 1 1/2 years and impressed now more then ever!!!! Also running Prog standard length springs in the tubes. Im 190 lbs and have them set for 1" of sag riding 2 up with the ol. Shes a buck fifty but dont tell her I said so hehehehe
Guessing I was probably going 25-ish, I was leaning right, looking left and just getting ready to shift into 2nd. Fortunately I didnt scrape anything... My first thought was it had to be close.
Haha! What's the length of those 970's? Could be a nice upgrade for the DX. Their tuneable rebound, compression, and pre-load, right? I've blasted off a few curbs myself, no scraping or bottoming out, but I definitely felt it...
Any idea how much longer these are than stock on the current generation Wide Glide ? did it increase your wheel gap ? Where did you buy them ? 1000 bux from the site ouch.

I have 418's on my FXR and I ride up onto, across ( crosswise ) and down a traffic island ( beveled sides ) by my neighborhood to take a shortcut and skip waiting on the longest red light in Maine.
Is this worth a t-shirt?
J/K, about the shirt. Truly. I have had great satisfaction with these and other Progressive products. 412's, fork springs, air pump (Road King days, use it for soccer ***** now ), spanner.
Yep, have had good luck with Progressive. And I am grateful that Progressive still sell shocks and springs for FXRs!
