Howdy Ladies and Gents,
This is my first post but I have lurked here for a little while. I am active duty military living overseas at the moment. I bought a 2012 Fat Bob in March and just recently had a chance to ride it. I put 1200 miles on it in the 2 weeks that I was on leave. It felt great!! I am very new to bikes and engines. This is my first street bike. I am in need of a lot of advice. I want the V&H Big Radius 2-into-1 pipes but I need advice on the intake, tuner, and whatever else I need to get this beast running better. I don't want such power that will burn my engine out in a week because this bike will also be my everyday ride. Still, I want earth shaking power . I travel a lot and don't need to be hassled about noise laws but I need some more noise too. Can you guys please give me a hand on tuners and intakes?
Thanks in advance,
Semper Fi
The Vance and Hines two into one is a pretty good choice IMO. On the tuner however I went with and would recommend to you the Hd screamin eagle pro super tuner. Installed and properly dynoed will give you the best results IMO.
Welcome mupp! and thank you for your service! The power vision , as you mentioned, does not need to be on the bike at all. You flash an appropriate tune and then see how it runs. You use it on the bike and it will make adjustments as long as your not completely happy with the performance. Once your satisfied you leave it home in the box. I have a PowerVision, the bike runs strong and smooth and my autotune unit is in the mail right now. IMO it is wirth the money.
PCV usually runs amazing with the right tune, but that one does have to stay on the bike, and the connector plug is susceptible to water infiltration. No big , but you will have to pul the plug apart now and then to dry it. The autotune with pcV is not necessary but quite handy as it will dial your tune in just like a pro on a dyno would, only once it's yours you never have to get dyno'ed and spend a few hundred each time.
Someone mentioned fuel moto, they are your best option for buying the kit from. They will cut you a deal, and always help you down the road (pun intended )
I didn't want my PV on the handlebars and much less give 70 or 80 $$ for a mount So I used the stick on velcro included in the box , look on my tank in the thumb pic between the seat and dash....

It says I dont have permissions to view your picture. Maybe because I havent posted on here enough yet? Anyways, I just watched some videos on the Power Vision. Is it seriously that simple as to plug it in, set the tune, and unplug it? I thought I had to install a piece behind the intake. If its really that easy I know which one I'm going to buy. So my next stupid question. Which Power Vision model do I need for my bike? Will this one work for the 2012 Fat Bob

You need to have made 10 posts to post and view pics I think, it's been a while for me.
I think you should get yours from fuelmotousa, they advertise here and Jamie long is the guy to speak to, he creates amazing tunes for our harley's and will always help you with new maps in the future in case you make some changes. You need the pv 2 for a '12 dyna.
How many miles on your FATBOB?

Outlaw Intake ordered! First step is complete and now for the other parts. Can anybody tell me how much the power vision normally runs? I'm just going for the unit itself and not the auto-tuner yet. Maddghost, I have about 1200 miles on it so far but by the time I am able to put the parts on (August maybe??) I will be due for my 5000 mile maintenance. Thanks again for everybody's help so far.
