Default tank emblems

Hi was wondering anybody retape tank emblems that are not solid like street bob emblems how were you able to trim inbetween the lettering since its not a solid emblem there are holes all over the place are there any tricks looks like it will be a pain in the you know what

3 layers deep not really getting what you mean.If you look at a street glide emblem you retape the emblem but how do you cut around the emblem and inside some of the lettering there had to be some way to retape emblems that arent a solid piece.Any advice would be great.

Not sure if this helps but what i personally would do is trace the emblem on to the tape then take am exacto knife and cut it out before you stick it to the emblem itself. Not sure what else you could do. Unless you can order the tape pre cut from the factory or something or buy new emblems

Well thanks that might work just can get some emblems cheap that have been removed but was thinking how the hell to cut around it.Well will have to give it a try 3M tape is pretty expensive would like to get it right the first but done see that happening lol.

Same here. I put new tape on the backside and line it up to the top then used a exacto knife to trim of access too.
