So therein lies the problem ... Sherwood (the 1st onwer) had Ray Price H-D do all this work to the bike that he can't exactly remember what all was done. I'm sitting here with receipts (for $3000 & $4000) trying to figure out what they did. I could ask Mr Ray (yeah, Mr Ray Price was in cahoots with them) but he's getting up in years so don't think he would remember either.

I'm not the type to run around with my chest poked out saying "I got this & that & she's a monster" just to be a poser. Fact is, I'm not a biker .. I just enjoy the wind & the ride. I'm in the process of getting ready to list her, so I need to know what she's got.

I really do appreciate your knowledge & help, guys. Now back to the subject ...

Ok, so here we go... I'm sitting here looking at receipt for the following parts that I was able to cross-reference here on this site:

29440-99 Air Cleaner kit, Carb
29640-99 Kit, 42mm Carb, Polish
16546-99 1550 Conversion Kit, Black
25152-99 SE 211 Cam Kit
31713-99 SE Race Ignition Kit, Black
17997-99 Quick Install Pushrod Kit TC
16952-99 SE TC88 HC 1550 Piston Kit, STD

(have know idead what this is)
DC200479 BSOP Long Even FX/FLS

13.00 hours worth of labor & the bill came to $4200.00
This invoice was dated June 2000

Sherwood bought the bike in 96, early 97. He hasn't ever said that he changed out the engine (I'll have to ask him the next time I see him) but some work was done in April of 97. Looks like there was an S&S Super E (carb), an S&S Evo 502 Cam, S&S main jet 0.68 and an SE 1340 Race Ignition (so it looks like as of 4/97 it was an Evo?)

Neil (?) what kind of motor would it have to be to accept the parts listed above (top)

These are all twin cam parts. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Looks like he had work done to your Evo, no question about it. The first list however, is for a different motorcycle. Most likely a 99-2000 Twin Cam going by the dates. My guess is you simply have a receipt for two different motorcycles. Either way, the description for both build ups is a well thought out mod list. Both engines would perform a lot better than they ever did stock. But I stand by my statement that the S/E 1550 kit is for a Twin Cam setup and not compatible with and Evo engine build. I say this because I googled first set of part numbers you listed and they are all for TC88 engines.

You're probably right because the 1st receipt doesn't have any vin # or make on it. The 2nd receipt does & it's for the Wide Glide

Bottom line, Sherwood juices up every bike he get.. so much that it's got to the point that he cant remember what all he HAS done which isn't much help to me especially when I'm trying to figure out how much the bike is worth so I can put her up for sale. LOL He told me "Bruce & Ray (Price) put the cam in the Wide Glide before Ray stopped working on motors" but that's not telling me a thing.

Thanks for the info, Law.

another question I just thought of. So if there was a different cam (Evo 502 cam in this case) installed, the displacement wouldn't change unless the heads(?) or cylinders were somehow upgraded? (Sorry for all the basic questions, but I'm learning now)

Xscout, the 502 cam with an S&S carb and a Screamin' Eagle ignition is a basic hop up kit that does not change displacement or compression. The 502 cam has a standard lift with a 248* intake duration which means the power will come on a little later, say 3500 rpm and up.

It's a little faster than stock, but it's still a 1340 cc / 80 cubic inch Evo motor with carb, cam and ignition. That's about it..

Give your cousin back the other receipts.

Hope this helps.
