How many are still running the 8 degree injectors on there Dynas with no problems? Was gonna swap em out for the 25's but really haven't had an issue with 'em.
I'm there with you. The only issue I have is the bike doesn't always start on the first try. Then it always kicks right up on the second. Actually, it usually starts on the first try...but every now and again...nada.
Anyway...I thought about getting them switched out...but I don't know. It doesn't seem to be a problem.
I had a few minor troubles with mine, such as hard starting and an off idle stumble when cold.
Dealer changed them out and all the problems disappeared.
The only thing I noticed is a slight decrease in fuel mileage.
I still have the 8's. No major problems, ocasonal hard start and first gear kinda sucks. Dealer said I have to return the bike back to stock A/C and pipes before he'll consider a swap.
I had mine changed a few months after I bought the bike. The problems was revinge up when coming to a stop and having to reve the engine up to get started. You'll know when you get problems.
I still got the 8's. There is a very seldom stall-out when blipping the throttle after complete stop and starting to go again. Occasional two attempts at starting when very cold. Cajun Harley Davidson service rep, the fat guy not the girl, said thatthey never heard of a TSB on injectors for early 2006 Dynas. I haven't had enough problems to go through a high blood pressure session with idiots. I'll never go there again although that leaves me with very little choice in dealers.
They said they couldn't duplicate the problem. I had rode the bike for almost an hour getting to the place. This is supposed to be a cold engine problem. Duh? It was raining and the mechanicrode it across the parking lot. Duh? I told them they didn't have to duplicate the problem I was telling them what the problem was. What did they think, that I was a liar?
You know, I've been through this countless times in my life with Ford, Cheverolet, Jeep, Nissan and mostly Ford. I don't need this anymore and I give up. I'll do any maintenance in the future. I did make note of the event and put a letter in my files along with the service record from the 1000 mile service. If that SOB dies along with me in an intersection due to stumbling, my wife is going to own Cajun Harley Davidson.
I still have the 8's in my WG. It stalled out a couple of times at idle in the first few hundred miles, but have never had a problem since. It fires right up and runs great. Like they say, if it a'int broke, don't fix it.
Is there a specific manufacture cut-off date for the 8s? Mine was built in mid-April 2006 - have had none of the problems listed in this post. Definetly would not be very happy if I was...
I have had the 8s changed out to the 24s. I too was just going to leave the 8s in, then one morning on my way to work I was driving around one of our famous round-a-bouts and well the bike was a little cold and guess what, it stalls out and stombles all over itself right when I was in the middle of the round-a-bout and I dam near dumbed it with a line of cars behind me. Two hours laterI was the stealer explaning to them that I do not care what modes are done to my bike, they will change the injectors per the bulletin. They argued with me about there even being one, so I got real hot, printed the thing off and dam near jammed it down the throut of the guy behind the couner. I told them to change it out or be sued, either way I was getting it done. Two days later I got a call that the change was done. Well worth the wait if you ask me. Cost to me, not a dime but a little time. I would consider it if you have even seen a bit of the problems, cause all it could take is once to cost you alot, physically and/or money. Good luck everyone either way.
