Default has anybody else had this problem

i had a 2003 883 i changed to synthetic oil at 2500 miles the temp went up 20 degrees now that i have a brand new super glide i'am having a tough time do i go with the synthetic or stay with reg oil i have read the tests my dealer or sales one brand . it seems strange that with the tests so many people are not screaming and there is not much differnt about the air cleaner. for me to think tha harley is selling below grade products is kind of hard to bite .or is all just B.S.i would like to catch some of you out there thought.

First off, the dealers sell what makes them money, and that is not necessarily the best for you or I. There are a few exceptions to this idea , but not many. As far as the oil temps going up with synthetics, there must have been some other contributing factor, synthetics lower the temps by a few degrese and give better protection when the oil temps do go up like in stop and go riding. Synthetics will last up to about 300 degreese before serious breakdown while the dino oil gives up around 250 or so, which a lot of bikes see on a regular basis. My suggestion is to go with synthetis for better protection
