Default New FXDL to me!

I finally broke down and bought a twin cam. After owning several evo's and shovelheads I felt it was time. Dont really wanna do much to the motor just a thunderheader and powerC or whatever will make it run right. Plans to powder the majority of it..........and a t-sport replica from conelys. For suspension just gonna throw in some race tech springs up front and roll that for now. Any suggestions? Ive had it two days and its all tore down! Cant roll stock! I included a pic of my 93 FXDL gonna do this one damn near the same

Love your '93! Funny how dual rotors were stock upfront back then ..... sometimes the moto co. takes a step backwards. Cost me some serious $ to upgrade my front to duals, but well worth it.

Sounds like a plan. Are you thinking chrome or black for the Thunderheader? Since you're doing some powdercoat and adding a fairing, black pipes would look good, and in my opinion, TH pipes look better in black than chrome.

Anyhow, congrats and enjoy the bike.

What hard bags are those? They look a bit goofy up high and back like that, but the rest of the bike looks great. New bike is nice too...you've got it completely torn down now?

Thanks for the heads up on the fairing I'm gonna do that for sure. I ordered the black thunderheader today I think it looks the best too. The bags on my 93 are Calvary bags they are mounted high up so I don't have to bend over so far to get into them and they are mounted so far back cause they would hit the shocks if they were any more forward. Thanks for checking it out.

What year model is it? If it is older, you're going to want to look at the cam tensioners.

You shouldn't have to worry about cam tensioners. The '08's should be fairly trouble free.
