I think the Super Glide has 1/4" more ground clearance but weighs a couple pounds more. Handle bars are different and the rake might be a little different. Plus what the others have said. All have crappy shocks & the forks always need attention. Both are the best all round bikes HD makes for the money. Beware of 06-07 primary.

Basicly, cosmetics and bling....
Either is a great plat form to build on.

I like chrome so it was a no brainer for me. Plus I don't care for the solo seat look.

thank you all for the input, I got a great deal on an 09 FXD with 2,045 miles on it. The first thing im doing to it is getting some nice mini apes.

Nice and welcome to the family. I am sure you can find a mini apes bar via this forum, allot of people have changed theirs out for either taller or shorter or just different bars.

I got addicted to Mods and now I go to a support group every week...
