Got to point where you install the pig tail to connect it to pc and instructions say that you plug the wires into the 16,20 pins in the 36pin connector and says both will be empty. Mine has a purple w/orange stripe in the 20 pin?
Any ideas on whats going on? Ive not changed and bought bike new.
Did you get this figured out? ... never had any issues installing my TMax ...
Their manual is pretty good ... you might take a look at the website and see if there are any FAQs or anything that will help address the question ... or call their customer support ... they are really helpful--I've dealt with Randy and James with good results ....
I sent them a email for help last night, called today and was told they dont have anyone to talk to right now and they would just reply to email. I watched the video's on their site about the pigtail, it says there might be a black wire in the 20 pin spot...but mines purple w orange stripe. Guess Ill have to wait to hear from them on the wire. But other than that its gone in without a hitch, but hell its a rainy day up here in the NW. So at least I have something to do inside.
Alright guys got another issue with the install...My damn bike wont start? Ive gone thru the instructions and havent missed a step, but all my bike does is try to start but never get it to fire up? I have called the TMAX support line but they dont seem to be answering the phones lately. Any idea on what I may have missed?
I would go back to square one and check every step of the instructions, make sure all connections are tight and you re-initialized the system. Did you reinstall the ECM fuse that needed to be pulled before you started? I would also test all the fuses for continuity.
Zippers is sometimes hard to get on the phone but keeping calling every few minutes if you have the time, you might get lucky and have someone answer.
Keep us posted.
Yeah Im at a loss...Ive gone over install 3x to make sure I didnt miss something(obviously I still am lol) But Ill give it a 4th over and see what I may have missed. Left a msg with zippers and a email, Ill call on breaks and see if I can reach them throughout the day.
Sounds like you aren't getting spark ... can you pull a plug and check that ...?
Another alternative is the IAC is not initializing and preventing proper air / fuel for start up ... if you listen closely you can hear the thing tick a little ...
Is the fuel pump starting up when you hit the run switch ... giving the whirring sound when you flip the switch ...? Need to have that for fuel pressure ...
You also might check the manual for the electrical diagram and trace back the power circuit for the coil ...
Just throwing a few ideas out there ... not sure how much help I am being ...
