anyone with 95" dyno tech
So here is my first thread.
what I am trying to do is this:
I have a .010 over 95" (3.885) stock stroke engine, Im running j/e flat top pistons, crane 290 cam, mukini carb, 30 tooth trans sprocket and stock 70 tooth rear. my final gearing is 3.5:1. dunlop 401 150/80/16 Tyre and a s/e adj ignition.
as of 63 runs in the quarter mile, my best is 11.84 @110mph.
I weigh 790lbs (lite) and 820 heavy. (with me of course)
my total average with throwing my high and low is 12.04@109.62mph
that's my bracket time.
here's my plan, I have s/e 110 heads, matching 10.5:1 s/e pistons pn 22109-08a, s/e 264 cams, and a tricked out s/e holley carb. I'm changing my gearing to chain (belt is limited but holding up for a 11 year old belt!!) to 23/65 for a total final gearing of 4.23:1.
my goal is 10.9's at 125mph. I will be running a drag tire as the dunlop has a tendency to go up in smoke often!!
QUESTION has anyone any dyno numbers or expectancy of my future combo?
how far am I off from reality?
And finally, Am I going in the right direction??
ANY INSIGHT WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
