I'm gonna assume you don't have a stock exhaust since I don't think they can get any quieter. So, which exhaust do you have? Most quiet baffles will give you a few db's in sound reduction, not a big deal. For a stock system with slip ons, the Screamin Eagles might work for you. They are slightly louder than stock.

Go back to stock setup. Call around to some dealerships and indys, i guarantee someone has a set laying around you could get for a song.

What year is it? I have a stock set for a FXDB, which uses the same thing, sitting around collecting dust.

Well, it looks like this post may be after you solved your problem. Just in case you aren't happy with the take offs---I have V&H strait shots on my FXDC and it was too loud for me. I added V&H quiet baffles and it was still louder than I wanted. I re-installed my OEM mufflers (signature image is with OEM) but didn't like that either. I then put the V&H back on and installed these http://www.smartpartz.com/ along with the V&H quiet baffles. I am finally happy with the sound of my bike. Good luck
