Hello all, New member here, My name is Aries from Toronto Canada.
excellent forum and site here Im happy to be a part of it thank you.
I have a question in regards to my 2007 FXDWG
The stock rear suspension is 12.6" I would like to go with progressive shocks maybe as low as 11" , would I have to to modify the front suspension to make it compatable and a safe ride ?
what is the lowest I can go in the rear without modifying the front suspention hight ? 12" or 11"
kind regards and thank you guys for your help.

Welcome ! I have a set of burly slammers on my 2011 street bob I have not lowered the front yet and have no problems with the ride I do plan on in the near future installing a front drop in kit .
I have the Burly Slammers (which burly is made by progressive if I am not mistaken) and I love them. Only issue I have is the ground clearance. Louisiana doesn't believe in driveways, so everything is a curb practically and I bottom out every once in a while.
wow !! thank you guys
It seems as tho all of you have done what i want to do with my wide glide
( lower the rear and not touch the front )
I just wanted to see if is safe and the correct way to do things
b/c every Harley dealer and all the local bike customs shop tell me " if I lower the rear I HAVE to lower the front "
stock on my dyna is 12.6" I want to go to the 12 or 11" progressive chrome with spring showing
No need to lower the front...looks better with the rear lowered and leaving the front alone.
Are you at 11" or 10'5s in this photo?
also nice bars what is the details on those bars ?
I like the look and style of your wide glide, I want to have a similar look High bars and lower rear end
