hey guys there appears to be a bit of confusion... this mod is done to a stage 1 air cleaner, not a stock air cleaner... you need the backing plate to pull this off... here are some pics (granted it is powder coated black but you get the idea)

Wish I had done this instead of getting raped on a RSD a/c.

Great looking job Joe as usual ,what you charging to cut a newer style cover and get it powdered? Will you be able to put the street bob ring back on there after powder ?
