I have a new dyna FXDC thats totally stock w/3k miles. At highway speeds over 2500 rpm 6th gear I get a pretty decent vibration thats bad enough to be fairly uncomfortable after 30 min. It smooths out over 3000 rpm. I took to dealer who after a test ride agreed thats its a little more then normal and replaced the front engine mount bc of "sagging" in the original part. It was a little better...it seamed. I had a 2002 dyna which seemed smoother. No complaints. Does anyone else have complaints about excessive vibration from their dyna?
I have the same ride also. My vibration starts at 2300 rpm. The vibration is so bad that I can feel it in the seat. I plan on taking it in, to have the dealer check it out.
i had the same issue on a 2012 streetbob. when i replaced my mufflers it pretty much went away. i only feel it a very little. dont really notice it now unless i think about it. the stock mufflers were heavy and really restrictive. i replaced them with cycle shack turnouts. hope this helps
Every Dyna i have ever rode has it. Ours does it in every gear until we get close to 3,000 rpm's.
I can't go to 5th until 62-65 mph, 6th gear around 75-80mph.
We have a ss 106 build so I figure it's lugging. My wife says either smooth it out or take me home to the bed room.
oh, well not all vibrations are bad huh.

Thanks for the response. The vibration isn't caused by lugging the engine, because I don't lug any engine..its not good for them. The dyna is operating properly at 2500 rpm in 6th on level ground or grade decrease. I just read an article in American Iron Dec 2012 is on the dyna street bob. The only complaint from the author was the vibration I mentioned...he couldn't explain it. All the dynas he rode did it too. So I guess some of us dyna riders are just going to have to get used to it...or change out some of the OEM equipment like pipes etc.
Went through this several months ago...front mount etc...dealer saying it's normal, blah blah blah. I don't know what exhaust you have or if it's stock but once I took off my BR 2 into 2 and went with a 2 into 1 pipe it smoothed out. Now it's not completely gone but much better than it was.
