I talked to a lot of people before I changed cams. The cam manufactures all asked about how I ride. Talking with Andrews they said the 48H would work best for the way I ride. To many people get a cam that is to big and the power range is to high. The 48H works good at low rpm and has not run out when I have run the rpm up. If you will do a web search for 48H Dyne Charts you will see a very flat TQ line and the HP keeps going up past 6000 rpm. For me it was the TQ I wanted. Most of the dyno info on these cams are over 86 HP and over a 100 TQ with a stock 96 with exhaust and high flow ac. Get a tuner from FuelMoto and they have a very good map for this cam.
You already have the Power Commander, just have Jamie at Fuel-Moto email you a new map and download it to your bike. I run the PC-v with a heavy breather and Big radius I put in a set of SE255s and it really came to life. Even sounds a little more like a carbed bike. Mike
I went with SE 204s.
Easy bolt in, use the stock pushrods.
Dynoed at 95 T and 92HP with a really good tune.
Good low end and midrange to 5500.
!00.00 bucks cheaper than woods.
Killer idle too!
Surprised nobody mentioned Andrews or S&S gear drive cams. Expensive, but damn good power adders for just installing cams.
Just ordered S&S 510c, this will be installed over the holidays, I did a lot of research and wanted mid range cam that would allow me to keep everything else stock. I am keeping stock pushrods and replacing lifters with brand new HD units, unfortunately I won't be able to report how they perform until spring.

That's awesome man. Going to be a huge change w/ gear drive setup.
I'm planning on doing moto work this winter, so that willo probably be my buy as well.

im getting fueling reaper 574s as soon as i get the cash. check them out after all the research ive done those are going to work best for me. they will also work when i go to a 107
525's for me, due to the size of the "bagger" as it's a tad bigger than is the dyna.
thats correct, I considered gear, but my readings had me concluding to go with chain drive, what got me convince was an article in AmericanIron a few month back where they mention that HD specs and tolerance for runout are not as strigent on todays engine than it was then, so I didnt bother with the risk of having this problem and since this is not a high performance application...chain makes sense and remains a reliable choice IMO.
