Footboard kit

Anyone add one of Harley's new footboard kits to a newer FXDC and what did you do about indentation in front heatshield where original mid mount was. I want the kit but it's my one concern.

I used the front heat shield for the ‘06 to ‘08 Wide Glide part number 65966-06

P/N 65966-06 is for the ‘06 to ‘08 Wide Glide Front Heat Shield and the Flamed Exhaust Shield Kit 64823-05 for 06 to 08 FXDWG both are hard to find.

I just left it it doesn't bother me at all. @skip..what front fender do you have? Just what I've been looking for.

It's a V-Twin #50-0114 Springer type fender comes in a raw finish with raw brackets riveted on. For use with 19" and 21" tires only. It's made to fit older wide glide forks. They need a lot of work to fill in all the strech marks and you have to relocate the mounting holes to fit '06 up fork lowers. I cut the tabs off some T-nuts and pressed them through the fender into some 3/4" spacers to mount it.
