I recentlly bought a 2002 Wide Glide back in July with 2,400 miles on it. It now has approximately 5,400 miles on it. Just had the 5,000 mile service completed. What I'd like to know is if there are any concerns or possible problems I need to be watching forwith a 2002 88carburated twin cam. How good were these motors. Thanks in advance.

thought you might be kidding? occupy your mind w/more useful dilemas like accessories, upgrades, etc.
unless murphy's law is your life code you got nuthin to worry about - their as tuff as nails and I wouldn't trade my 88carburated twin cam for anything!
2002 was the fourth year of production for the rubber mounted twin cams. The carburated version is a great motor and much easier to upgrade the fuel/air ratio.
Thanks for the replies. No not kidding, just hear about a lot of different issues with different year motors and trannies and was just wondering if my motor or tranny had any I might want to be aware of. Thanks again.
I beleive the problems were with the early (1999-2000) TC's when they were first introduced. Harley got it right by your model year and even better the longer they stayed with the 88". This year's 96" seems to be pretty good also, but there are a lot of people who would never buy the first year of any model change. Anyway, I'm very happy with the carb'd version of the TC in my Dyna, and now it's been punched out to 95", it's even more fun to ride.
