I have a 2008 FXDC with the 96", SE 204 cams, hi flow A/C (K&N), Bassani Road Rage 2-1 exhaust, and TMax ECU. I have also upgraded the suspension with Ricor in the back and Progressive drop ins for the front.
If I go with the SE 103 kit, how much performance gain could I expect. The dyno I last did showed mid 80s/90s for hp/tq.
Is this kit something an average mechanic can do? We are getting a dealership next Feb, but will stay away from them as they will not have the know how for sometime. The mechanic has plenty of experience on Evos but the TCs and EFI are not as common as of yet.
Also, how about the Fuelmoto 107" or the SE 110" kits, are they too extreme for my developing country mechanics to install and maintain? Looking for decent performance gains with reliability.
This My experience I had a stage 1 96" big air sucker and v&h big shots. After installing the 103" stage 2 with me and my wife riding on it the seat of the pants dyno the bike has way more ***** than before when it was just me on the 96". it has no problem hitting 100mph with both of us on it and I still need to take it to the dealer for the final tune, all it has rite now is a capped map.
I am thinking of shipping mine down when I move...Not sure how that all will work out since I'll be heading to the Zamboanga del Norte area of Mindanao Island
Hey, I should be in Manila around the 1st week of March....I have to stop at the Embassy for some papers. Before heading down to the lower island...
Oh, and Thank You for your words back in August/September...
ps: If tools are available I'll swap out your juggs for ya.... and if you already have the SE Tuner, I have the software and interface cord, so we can tweak the performance at same time....

The roads out of Manila arent all that bad. I go about 160kph to Subic on Subic Clark Expressway. Its in the city that they are crap.
Not so sure how practical it will be ship out your bike. the customs will be at least 40% of listed value, and thats including transport. If you dont ever plan on selling it, you could disassemble, place in boxes and balikbanyan box it over. Also, Davao is the city where all the grey market cars and bikes are shipped through so you should be able to register it at some point.
Let me know when you make it to Manila, can meet up at the local drinking spot - handlebar in makati.
On the Bob with just an intake, exhaust, and and tuner I dyno'd 78 horses and I think around 80 ftpds of torque. Did the 103 stage 4 and made 115 horses and 115 ftpds. Did it myself, was pretty straight forward. Just be sure you have a service manual...

I think the Stage 4 kit includes high compression pistons, SE 255 cams, etc and is rated at 103hp on their site (vs 65 for stock 103). I was thinking of doing the base 103" which is just changing the jugs for about $600 vs $1800 for the full kit. However, I already have the a/c, which is included, but could probably sell that for about a $100. To further complicate, there is the other kit for $1100 that includes the SE255 cams. I already run the SE204 cams, so wondering if changing cams is a good thing since the motor is already open. I am happy with the SE 204, good low to mid power.
My thought would be SS 106/107 or Fuelmoto 107. No cam change or AC needed, unless you want to dial it in for maximum HP/TQ
Or just bore out you cylinders and same even more. You can get 96 jugs cheap most likely as compared to buy jugs out right. Just have your pistons before having them bored.
Going to 110 will cost ya, case has to be bored.
The stage 4 kits comes with se 259 cams, not 255 ones. It also comes with, a 58mm throttle body, jugs, pistons/rings, complete set of cnc heads, tuner, high flow injectors, clutch spring, and all the gaskets. I paid 1800 for the kit and for the money you want find a more complete set up. I looked into fuel moto, but price wise they were way more. Would theirs be better? Maybe, in the end I wasnt looking for a rocket, just something to have fun on and this kit for sure accomplised that.
