Pleas have patience new the the site and first time Harley buyer. I may have posted this in more than 1 place. I need some advice.
I purchased the 2012 SB. When talking to the salesman I asked if it was a 2013 and he said yes.. So I thought it was a 2013 until I got home later and pulled out the owners manual and it said 2012. (my mistake).. I pick it up tomorrow.. I paid 15579.00 thinking it was 2013. In reading the threads you all seem to agree.... no improvements... do you think I should make a big deal about it or just right it off.. After all... it is my first harley I paid cash and it only has 3 miles on it.. what do you think???
I would verify if it's a 2012 or 2013 first. You might have bought a 2013 bike, but they gave you a 2012 owners manual. If you did actually buy a 2012 and the salesman told you it was a 2013 I would definitely demand a discount since you're getting a bike that's technically one year older and worth less when it comes time to sell it or trade it in.

I'm in Missouri, and you LEGALLY have 72 hours to break the contract.
Are you on the east side or west side. You can also look at the various mfg. stickers on the bike to find the date.
I wouldn't sweat it too much, but I would definitely be a squeaky wheel
Since you already bought the bike you must have signed some paperwork. If it says it's a 2012 then it looks like you bought it and you need to talk to the general manager and/or the owner, let them know what you were told by the salesman and that they need to adjust the sale price. If it says 2013 on your bill of sale then verify the bike is actually the right year.
Don't know what the law is in your state but if you don't take delivery of the bike the sale is not completed and you might be able to back out.
Other than the taillight and paint, they are the same.
FYI. My dealer, Savannah HD is offering $1000 in accessories with 2012 Bikes. I would ask for it or threaten to walk away. You can buy the stock bike for $12999 MSRP. Colors other than black cost a few hundred more.
I wouldn't get hung up on the year model, but definitely raise he'll over the misrepresentation.
