My clutch had 12 springs ... but, they told me that for my application, I could get by with 6 springs ... makes the pull much easier ... approximates stock pull ...
... surprised no worry warts haven't chimed in yet to warn you about getting your pants caught in the belt ... LoL

FYI ... since you say you haven't ridden it yet ... as I am aware, belt drives do away with the compensator on the motor drive shaft (at least mine does) ... be prepared for a much more 'abrupt' riding experience ... without the compensator, you get a lot more direct feel of the acceleration/deceleration from shifting and motor braking, etc. ...
